How to insert:
- Hold the ring of the earplugs "upside-down" with your thumb and index finger — the silicone ear-tip should be at the bottom. Gently insert the ear-tip into your ear canal.
- Don't push it into your ear with your finger, but very lightly and gently twist it in towards the back of your head, like a screw motion.
- Gently tap around the ring — adjust for a comfortable, secure, and pressure-free fit. Once correctly positioned, the earplugs should snugly fit effortlessly and remain in place as you move. It takes some practice to find your perfect fit.
Fit check:
- Move your jaw side to side. Earplugs should securely remain in position without movement.
- If too loose, consider sizing up.
- If too tight, consider sizing down.
Pro Tips:
- Don't insert the earplugs too deep — just enough to seal the canal. Pain or pressure indicates the earplugs are too tight or too large.
- Gently remove with a slow twist to prevent discomfort.
- Occlusion effect — hearing your own voice (or breathing and chewing) more loudly, like you're underwater, is perfectly normal. Ideally, you should aim to minimize the occlusion effect as much as possible for comfort, while still maintaining a proper seal for noise reduction.
- Take breaks, pause periodically, and slowly acclimate if needed.
